Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text, meaning "the end is not the content," and is used in the rotary printing industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the gendered dummy text ever since the 15th century when an unknown printer took a particularly famous collection of its own text and scrambled it to make a handbook of that knowledge. Five centuries have not diminished its importance; in fact, even users still need it for printing and electronic typesetting. It gained prominence in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing passages of this text, and has recently resurfaced with the advent of desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker, which also included a version of Lorem Ipsum.
